Alexandrian Rapper L5VAV Experiments With Retro-Pop in 'Dawara'
Serving a fusion of both synth-pop and trap, the Alexandrian rapper's inventiveness is audibly apparent in this melancholic release.
Alexandrian artist L5VAV is known for two things: his innovative rap tracks, and the long silences between releases that allow him to maintain an alluringly mysterious presence. Thankfully he’s decided to step out of the shadows to grace his fans with an all-new release: ‘Dawara’.
Serving a fusion of both synth-pop and trap, the rapper's inventiveness is audibly apparent in this release. L5VAV gets vulnerable by emphasizing on a dark period in his life, saying, “Hey world I’m crying, is there a void for crying?” Without the drums, this would be the perfect ballad to embody one’s melancholy. With it, it’s its own emotional monster.
