Cairo’s INTG Party Series to Launch with All-Live DJ Showcase Aug 25

INTG, a newly founded party series, is set to make its debut at Samak Laban on August 25th, bringing together some of Cairo’s experimental electronic artists and visual practitioners for an intimate audiovisual showcase.

Egyptian producer Postdrone, a longstanding presence in the country’s left-field electronic scene, will be joined by Cairo-based experimental artist Ashrar, whose sets deconstruct and reshape samples through breakneck percussion and fractured rhythms.

Also on the bill are Yach & The Sonic Voyager Collective, exploring the interplay between lo-fi beats and jazz samples, and Ali Nour, who will present a DJ set of spacious rhythms, moving through dub and its more left-field textures.

The night will also feature a visual showcase by Cairo-based multidisciplinary artist Aisha Azab. Working with footage she has collected since 2019, Azab layers and reassembles fragments from disparate sources, creating images that blur the boundaries between separate moments and realities.
