Vortex to Host 7-Year Anniversary Festival in Wadi Rum in October
The lineup features a roster of regional selectors including YellowTape’s Mira and Hazem, Amman’s Oun Jweinat, and Amro Malhas.
Jordan’s electronic music collective, Vortex, is set to host a two-day festival amidst the glittering desert sands of Wadi Rum from October 25th to the 27th, in celebration of their seventh anniversary.
For the past seven years, Vortex has been making strides in offering a safe dance music space for artists and partygoers in Jordan, curating eclectic parties with stellar lineups of local, regional and international selectors across the spectrum of dance music. In 2023, the fifth edition of their signature Open Air Festival was a spectacular audio-visual experience that brought 19 regional and international DJs together across two stages at the historic Bisharat Golf Club in Amman.
This time, they are bringing a roster of established regional selectors for an overnight marathon of non-stop house and techno. The lineup features Hazem, Mira, and Ramez from Cairo’s YellowTape Records, along with Amman’s favourites Oun Jweinat, Rami Hr, Etchar and Vortex’s mastermind Amro Malhas.
