Concrete Unveils Womenswear Capsule Collection ‘She-Evolution’
Led by Italian art director Ettore Veronese, this capsule pays homage to femininity through fluid fabrics and striking silhouettes.
Egyptian-born label Concrete is introducing its first women’s fashion showcase and capsule, ‘She-Evolution’, created under Italian art director Ettore Veronese, who has been part of the brand for 15 years. The collection is the counterpart of ‘He-Evolution’, the menswear version of the line. Through fluid materials that honour the natural form of the female body, ‘She-Evolution’ showcases garments that celebrate femininity, marking their entry into the realm of womenswear.
With an emphasis on artistry and detail, the collection features innovative silhouettes and techniques, including ornamental headpieces, intricate embellishments and asymmetrical cuts. A common theme of the collection is black, gold and beige hues, grounding the collection in their earthy tones.
At the heart of the collection is the symbol of the heart itself. “The heart is always present as a symbol because it's the pulsating engine of life - and of this line,” Veronese tells SceneStyled. Concrete integrates this theme throughout the collection, with this powerful symbol appearing as an embroidered motif throughout. “It gives a different meaning to what we wear.”
With this capsule collection, empowerment is at the forefront. Concrete’s designs pay tribute to the complexity of modern womanhood, capturing both strength and elegance through a combination of delicate and structured elements. Soft, flowing fabrics like sheer chiffon and fine, shimmering tulle are contrasted with structured boning and asymmetrical cuts.
Concrete also features more dramatic elements like statement body chains and exaggerated sleeves, while showcasing a range of feminine necklines, including strapless, sweetheart and plunging designs. By integrating bold and delicate design elements, the label has created a collection that allows women to express multiple facets of their identity - strength and vulnerability, grace and resilience.
