Easy, breezy, and unapologetically ‘Meezzy’ is what Egyptian fashion consultant and digital content creator May Wahid, bases her aesthetic on. Having received her master’s degree in fashion brand management from Milano’s renowned Istituto Marangoni, Wahid speaks many languages, prime amongst them fashion.

Now brand manager at Egyptian family-owned jewellery label Michael Oro Jewellery, Wahid has worked with myriad brands, both homegrown and International, such as Okhtein, Be Indie, and Zara. Yet for the average TikTok doom-scroller, Wahid is instantly recognisable for her eccentric, bold, and nothing-is-off-limits approach to styling. “Being overdressed is a statement; underdressing is simply a missed opportunity.” Wahid tells SceneStyled.

“I’m a fashion over function girlie, I have to admit it was an impulsive purchase. I end up wearing it for only around 30 minutes at a time, seeing as it keeps falling off and giving me headaches. No regrets though!”

Opting for a chic, laidback look that does not take away from the clip-on frames, Meezzy selected a Burgundy bomber jacket, minimal black leggings with matching sandals, and a complementary Miu Miu bag in leather brown.

Jean Paul Gaultier | Cyber Dot Dress

Taken straight from Jean Paul Gaultier’s 1995 Autumn/Winter Show, most fondly remembered as his ‘Mad Max’ show, the cyber dot dress is one not for the faint of heart. But how did Meezzy come across it? “I saw this picture [of Kim Kardashian] wearing the Jean Paul Gaultier Cyber Dot Dress a few years back, and I just knew I immediately had to get my hands on it.”

But how would Meezzy style a piece that’s already a statement piece not to be overpowered? “I wouldn’t overly accessorise the Jean Paul Gaultier Dress, because the dress itself is the whole look.” Meezzy tells SceneStyled. Opting for a ‘less is more’ approach, Meezzy selected Mugler shades, a vintage 90s Kelly, black boots, and “my favourite lip combo.”
