Emirati Brand Mauzan Honours Tradition in Ramadan 2024 Collection
It’s not just abayas and kaftans. Hint: it’s aromatic.
From the soft drape of an abaya to the intricate embroidery adorning a kaftan, these garments take centre stage in the holy month of Ramadan. And when it comes to Emirati-based luxury label Mauzan’s Ramadan 2024 collection, they’ve done so with a surprise, too.
The brand unveils a collection of abayas, kaftans and fragrances for the season, designed to seamlessly blend tradition with elegance. Inspired by the spirit of Ramadan, the pieces exude an air of sophistication, serving as beautiful companions for spiritual reflections or celebrations.
This year's collection features a stunning array of flowy, pleated abayas that drape effortlessly around the body. Mauzan’s pieces mimic gentle movement with every step, accentuated by the soft swish of chiffon and delicate cutwork. The colour palette reflects the serenity of the sky, with calming shades of blue and grey that reflect the sense of peace that we so desperately crave and fulfil during Ramadan. Neutral tones are also prevalent, providing a timeless foundation for wardrobes.
A touch of understated glamour materialises in sheer kaftans and sequins. These dainty pieces layer beautifully over solid-coloured slips, creating a compelling sense of depth. Embroidered blooms and thread needlework adorn some kaftans, sprinkling a scintilla of floral femininity.
Mauzan's designs take a modern approach to tradition with the inclusion of reversible abayas. This innovative design allows for two distinct looks, offering versatility. The UAE-based brand keeps that contemporary flair in details like a chic scarf, shimmering prism panels and glittering and matte cord embroidery. Delicate silver accents add a subtle shimmer that complements the overall elegance of the collection, while wide sleeves maintain graceful silhouettes.
But that’s not all. Mauzan introduces four fragrances to the collection, blending apple, pineapple with notes of musk, oud and sandalwood. The aromatic fragrances waft amber, vanilla, caramel and patchouli, with spicy middle tones and calming bases.
