Maison Margiela Will Debut Branded Residences in Dubai
These will be the world’s first branded residences by the French label.

In Dubai, luxury real estate competes to outdo itself, a new contender is set to enter the fray—this time, with a distinctly avant-garde edge. UAE-based developer Alta Real Estate has teamed up with French fashion house Maison Margiela to create what is being billed as the world’s first branded residences by the label.
Details remain sparse, but the project will comprise 24 bespoke units in a yet-to-be-revealed Dubai location, aiming to translate Margiela’s deconstructed, non-conformist design ethos into residential space. The collaboration follows a growing trend of fashion brands extending their influence beyond the runway and into the high-end property market, though few have pushed the concept as far as Margiela’s radical approach to design might suggest.
“Our vision is to collaborate with the world’s most influential brands to create unparalleled living experiences,” Abdulla Al Tayer, Managing Director of Alta Real Estate Development, tells SceneStyled. “Partnering with Maison Margiela allows us to push the boundaries of design and redefine luxury living in Dubai.” Al Tayer adds.
With Dubai’s appetite for branded residences showing no signs of waning, the development will test whether the maison’s cerebral aesthetic—often defined by anonymity, unconventional tailoring, and a rejection of ostentation—resonates in a market typically drawn to opulence.
