Monochrome Monday: Pastel Lilac

Pastel Lilac turns mood into wardrobe this week, cooling sharp silhouettes and soft knits into outfits that feel like twilight on skin.

Monochrome Monday: Pastel Lilac

Pastel lilac has been quietly sneaking its way into wardrobes, not as a “pastel moment,” but as a shade with real personality. You see it in Kotn’s Noor cardigan, in Christopher Esber’s silk column, and in Polène’s Numéro Neuf Mini, which treats mauve leather like a small, calm sculpture. Even the accessories are in on it - Dora Teymour’s heart-shaped sunglasses, Roger Vivier’s satin belt slices a clean line at the waist, and Kato’s Violette studs add the tiniest flash of light against the skin.

Instead of treating it as a “pop”, this edit treats pastel lilac as a temperature. Layer it over stone, chocolate, grey or chalk and it cools everything down. Wear it head to toe and the silhouette turns soft around the edges even when the cuts stay sharp. This is lilac for city pavements and late dinners, not only spring weddings.

Kotn | Noor Fuzzy Cardigan

The Noor cardigan is pastel lilac as atmosphere. The fuzzy knit makes the colour look slightly blurred, like it’s been seen through steam or soft focus. Button it up with tailored trousers for a quiet, grown-up version of cozy, or wear it open over a slip or tank so the lilac reads as a soft filter instead of a solid block.

Dora Teymour | “Steamy Windows” Sunglasses

These heart-shaped frames bring pastel straight into your eyeline. The moulded polycarbonate and grey UV lenses keep the mood tongue-in-cheek but still sharp enough for city light.

Christopher Esber | Cutout Silk Satin Maxi Dress

This dress gives pastel lilac a precise, sculptural role. Silk satin falls in a clean column, while asymmetric cutouts and a drawstring at the hip carve negative space into the colour. Buttoned cuffs and a slim fit keep everything controlled rather than bohemian.

Thuna | Runa Lavender Espadrille

The Runa espadrille translates the palette into something effortless. A traditional woven sole meets a soft lavender upper that moulds to the foot, so the shoe feels like a holiday that wandered into your weekday wardrobe. Pair it with wide-leg trousers, cotton dresses or that fuzzy cardigan and you get lilac that moves from balconies and beach walks to in-town errands.

Roger Vivier | Viv' Choc Embellished Satin Belt

Here, pastel lilac becomes a line of light at the waist. A slim satin band and crystal buckle read almost like jewellery that just happens to be holding your outfit together. Wrapped over a blazer, a knit dress or the Esber gown, the belt slices a precise lilac horizon across the look.

Rami Al Ali | Elegant Cocktail Dress With Bow Sleeves

This cocktail dress takes the shade into ceremony. Lavender fabric is cut into an off-shoulder column with structured bow sleeves and a corseted bodice that holds the torso like sculpture. The colour keeps it soft, the construction keeps it serious. It belongs at evening weddings, museum openings, and any event where cameras will remember the silhouette.

Kato | Violette Stud Earrings

The Violette studs are the smallest entry point into the palette. They sit close to the lobe—a tiny violet glow against skin and gold. Even without a full lilac outfit, they echo the tone of an espadrille strap, a bag or a belt, making the colour story feel intentional rather than accidental.

Polène | Numéro Neuf Mini

This mini handles pastel lilac from the leather side. In textured mauve calf, draped and held in place by hand-stitching, the bag reads like a small sculpture under the arm or across the body. The brand’s calm, unsaturated tones and artisanal construction make this lilac feel less like a trend and more like part of a permanent palette.
