Naïka's Relationship With Fashion Started Long Before the Stage

Before taking the stage in El Gouna, Egypt, international pop artist Naïka — the singer-songwriter behind tracks including 1+1, 6:45 and One Track Mind — reflected on where her love of fashion first began: Haiti, where family-run businesses meant growing up surrounded by clothing, textiles and opportunities to get creative.

Between helping at her mother’s shop and spending time at her grandparents’ fabric store, fashion became part of the rhythm of everyday life. With rolls of fabric always within reach, some of Naïka’s earliest creative experiments took the form of homemade outfits and impromptu fashion shows.
