This Is The First Emirati Childrenswear Brand To Be Sold At Harrods
Shatha Essa Kids is the first of its kind to be sold at Harrods, showcasing Emirati culture and craftsmanship internationally.
Emirati childrenswear brand, Shatha Essa Kids, has become the first UAE-based children’s label to be sold at the iconic London department store, Harrods. She has been vocal about what a milestone it is to have Emirati culture and craftsmanship showcases on a prestigious and global platform.
Founder Shatha Essa Al-Mulla launched her eponymous womenswear label in 2016, and ventured into children’s clothing last year. Her line features special occasion looks for toddlers and girls up to the age of 14, and all the pieces are designed and produced in Dubai.
Her inspiration are her two young daughters, Hessa and Hind, for whom she designs every look, before reproducing them for her brand. Her designs are characterised by buttery yellows and mellow grey tones, structured with layers of tulle, embroidered appliqués and silken bows.
The Satha Essa Kids retail space in Harrods is an interactive area, designed by Al-Mulla herself, and featuring a theatre booth and dress-up dolls.
