Hilton to Triple Its Presence in Egypt With 25 New Hotels

After operating in Egypt for 60 years, Hilton is expanding its footprint in Egypt with plans to open 25 new hotels across the country, bringing its total portfolio to over 40 properties in the coming years. This growth includes the signing of more than 10 new properties under Hilton’s globally recognised brands, including the introduction of its lifestyle-focused Curio Collection by Hilton and Tapestry Collection by Hilton to Egypt for the first time.

A key highlight of the expansion is the Hilton Cairo Nile Maadi, set to open in early 2025. Located in the upscale Maadi district, the hotel will offer contemporary rooms with panoramic views of the Nile and the Pyramids. Other planned openings in Cairo include the Hilton Cairo Historic City in Magra El Oyoun (2027), which will feature 255 guest rooms at a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the DoubleTree by Hilton Cairo Downtown (2028), a centrally located property with 257 rooms and modern amenities.

Beyond Cairo, Hilton is growing its presence in Egypt’s resort destinations. Notable additions include the Curio Collection by Hilton in Sharm El Sheikh and Marsa Alam, and the Tapestry Collection by Hilton at Abu Dabbab Lodge in Marsa Alam. The Hilton Marsa Alam Marina, a 750-room all-inclusive beachfront resort, will offer diving, snorkelling, and other leisure facilities. On the North Coast, the DoubleTree by Hilton Alamein Marina Valley will add a premium option for visitors to this popular destination.

Several existing Hilton properties in Egypt are also undergoing renovations, including the Ramses Hilton, Hilton Cairo Heliopolis, and Hilton Marsa Alam Nubian Resort, which will see the addition of 66 new rooms. These updates aim to modernise interiors and enhance guest experiences.

Hilton’s expansion is expected to create over 5,000 new jobs. The launch of Hilton’s hospitality school in Egypt provides training and career opportunities for the next generation of hospitality professionals.
