The MENA Region’s First Hotel Indigo to Open in Oman This September
Located 2,000 meters above sea level on Oman's Green Mountain, the resort will feature 173 rooms, suites, and chalets.
One of the world’s leading hoteliers, IHG Hotels & Resorts, is set to open its first Hotel Indigo in the MENA region this September with the launch of Hotel Indigo Jabal Akhdar Resort & Spa.
Located 2,000 metres above sea level on Oman’s Green Mountain, the resort will feature 173 rooms, suites, and chalets, each offering scenic views of the surrounding rugged terrain that was once difficult to access and will now offer adventure travellers access to terraced orchards and historic villages, including the UNESCO World Heritage site of the Falaj Al Khatmain irrigation system.
With a design deeply rooted in Omani heritage, the resort will feature a range of curated wellness and neighbourhood-inspired activities, including treatments at the Jala Spa & Wellness centre, which will incorporate traditional Omani practices and will encompass Himalayan salt rooms, thermal zones, and vitality pools.
When it comes to dining, guests can enjoy three venues that emphasize local ingredients and the rich flavors inspired by the ancient Zanzibari spice trade. Vue Rooftop & Lounge, the tallest rooftop in the Middle East, will feature breathtaking canyon views and wood-fired dishes. Wadi Habib will specialize in authentic local cuisine, while Zaatar will offer an all-day dining experience.
