UAE Airlines Cancel Flights to Iraq, Iran & Jordan
The cancellations apply for Wednesday, October 2nd and Thursday, October 3rd.
Emirates and FlyDubai have cancelled flights to Iraq, Iran, and Jordan scheduled for Wednesday, October 2nd, and Thursday, October 3rd, due to heightened regional instability. Several flights departing from the UAE were diverted mid-flight last night following the closure of regional airspaces.
In a related update, Emirates has announced that travellers transiting through Dubai with final destinations in Iraq, Iran, or Jordan will not be permitted to travel from their point of origin until further notice.
Affected passengers are advised to contact their booking agents for alternative travel arrangements, or reach out directly to the airline if their booking was made directly with Emirates or FlyDubai.
Both airlines have stated they are closely monitoring the situation and are in constant communication with regional aviation authorities for further updates.
