Ahmed El Sakka is First Arab Actor to Star in Amazon Prime Original

Ahmed El Sakka is officially the first Egyptian and Arab actor to star in an Amazon Prime original. Titled ‘Last Round’, the eight-episode series follows the life of a doctor named Yahya (El Sakka), who studies medicine and enters the field after being pressured to by his father. The dramedy series follows his journey to achieve an unfulfilled dream while navigating the demands of his career.

Directed by Mariam Ahmady, and written by scriptwriters Mohamed Nada and Mohamed Al Shakhabi, ‘Last Round’ features a star-studded cast, including Ashraf Abdel Baqi, Asma Abul-Yazid, Rushdy El Shamy, Ali Sobhy, Hanan Suleiman, Safaa El Tokhi and Sahar Rami, as well as a special guest appearance by Hanan Motawie.

Throughout his extensive acting career, El Sakka has made a name for himself with several prominent roles in Egyptian drama and action films and series, such as ‘Al Ikhtiyar’ (2020-2022), ‘El Ankaboot’ (2022) and ‘Harb’ (2023).
