Mariam El Khosht to Star in Arabic Dub of Disney's 'Sleeping Beauty'

Disney+ is giving us Arabic dubs of all our favourite Disney films, and they’re taking the opportunity to go all the way back to pick up any classics we may have missed - including a new Arabic dub of ‘Sleeping Beauty’, starring Mariam El Khosht! 

Famous for her roles in series like ‘Leh La2’ opposite Amina Khalil, and ‘El Anisa Farah’ alongside Asmaa Aboulyazeid and Ahmed Magdy, Mariam El Khosht is taking on the role of Princess Aurora, the eponymous 'Sleeping Beauty' herself, by recreating her lines in Standard (Fusha) Arabic. We wonder if this means she’ll also be singing all the songs, too?

The Disney+ streaming service has just launched in 16 different countries across the MENA region including Algeria, Bahrain, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, UAE, Saudi Arabia and Egypt. They’re dubbing many Disney features in both Standard (Fusha) Arabic and Egyptian Colloquial Arabic, including an Egyptian dub of Encanto set to feature on the platform.
