All COVID-19 Entry Restrictions Lifted on Arrivals to Egypt
It is hoped that this decision signals a return to normalcy for Egypt’s tourist sector, especially with the approach of the summer season and the continuing drop in COVID-19 rates.
All COVID-19 restrictions on in-bound travellers to Egypt, whether they’re Egyptian citizens or foreign visitors, will soon be lifted. The decision was made during a meeting between Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly and the Egyptian Supreme Committee for the Management of the Epidemiology and Health Pandemic Crisis, although they have yet to announce when it will go into effect.
Currently, travellers arriving into Egypt will still need to present a negative PCR test taken 72 hours before arrival, along with the certificate that shows they've received their vaccine 14 days prior to travelling.
It is hoped that this decision signals a return to normalcy for Egypt’s tourist sector, especially with the approach of the summer season and the continuing drop in COVID-19 rates.
