Borg El Arab Airport Will House Egypt’s First Eco-Friendly Terminal
The terminal will reduce carbon emissions by utilising solar-generated electricity and VRV air conditioning systems.

A project to create the first environmentally friendly passenger terminal in Egypt is almost near completion, with construction scheduled to end by the beginning of 2024. The terminal will be housed at Alexandria’s Borg El Arab Airport, and is expected to increase the airport’s passenger capacity to 6.5 million passengers per year.
The terminal will reduce carbon emissions by utilising solar-generated electricity and VRV air conditioning systems.
