Central Ring Road's Petrojet Bridge Will Be Closed for a Month
The road is completely blocked due to the ongoing installation of large concrete beams for the monorail’s path.
The Petrojet Bridge, located under the Central Ring Road in Giza, will be completely closed for one month due to construction work for the monorail project. The Giza Governorate has announced this closure in response to a request from the company in charge of the project, supervised by the National Tunnels Authority, to install large concrete beams for the monorail's path.
During this period, starting from today, Sunday, February 11th until Saturday, March 9th, the square on the parallel central axis road will be closed. The construction works will take place 24 hours a day.
To manage traffic diversions, the General Administration of Giza Traffic has implemented two detour routes. Vehicles coming from Al-Wahat Road and the Central Corridor Road will be redirected to the parallel Central Corridor until the first turning hole, while vehicles coming from the industrial area will follow the central axis route parallel to their direction.
