As part of Egypt’s transformation into a fully integrated digital society, more than 125 government services have been launched on the Digital Egypt platform, the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology’s newest project.
The platform offers e-services covering ration systems, driving licenses, state certificates, electronic filing of law documents, among a plethora of other state services.
The website comes as part of the ministry’s larger plan to build digital capabilities in Egypt. That’s not only happening through digitizing government services, but also by equipping Egyptians with more digital skills.
Egypt was among the best performing countries in the development of government technologies in 2020, and one of the top 10 developing countries in digital inclusion. More recently, Egypt’s ranking in average ADSL speed rose in rankings, now occupying advanced first place in Africa.
