Egypt's Plastic Products Export Hits USD 1.7 Billion in 2023
Plastic products constitute 27% of the total exports in the chemical and fertilizers sector.

Egypt’s net plastic exports reached USD 1.7 billion last year, accounting for 27% of the total export of the chemical and fertilizer industry, as revealed by the Chemical and Fertilizers Export Council (CEC).
The increase in plastic exports can be credited to various factors, such as the implementation of cutting-edge technologies, enhanced manufacturing standards, and the broadening of trade agreements with diverse international partners.
The news was shared during the inauguration of PLASTEX 2024 and Plast 2024, two exhibitions launched by CEC at the Egypt Expo and Convention Authority. The exhibitions will run until January 12th, 2024.
