First Industrial Green Zone in Egypt Will Soon Be Established

The Industrial Development Authority is planning to establish Egypt’s first industrial green zone which will rely solely on clean energy as well as waste recycling to promote sustainability and environmental protection.

The new zone is part of the authority’s plan to create an attractive climate for industrial investments to achieve sustainable development and shift more towards a green economy. Additionally, the Industrial Development Authority aims to develop specialised industrial cities such as Shaq Al-Tha’ban, which is a model industrial city that produces and exports marble and granite.

Meanwhile, the United Nations Industrial Development Organization continues to provide Egypt with great support for comprehensive and sustainable development.
