German Airline Condor Increases Flights to Hurghada
The increase in flights is part of a larger plan between Germany and Egypt's Ministry of Tourism to encourage German travel to Egypt.
Starting March, German airline Condor will ramp up the number of flights from Germany to the coastal city of Hurghada in Egypt. While Germany first resumed flights to Egypt in late December 2020 after international travel was put on hold by the Coronavirus pandemic, this increase in flights is an indication of the cooperation between Egypt's Ministry of Tourism and Germany. The two governments are working on creating a "safe tourist corridor" between Germany and the Red Sea governorate to bring more German tourists into the country while minimizing their risk of contracting the Coronavirus.
