National Institute to Build Satellite Monitoring Station With China
The station is planned to be the second in the world to integrate newly-developed technology that would enhance Egypt’s research capabilities.

The National Research Institute of Astronomy and Geophysics announced that it is cooperating with Chinato establish a satellite monitoring station at the institute’s headquarters in Helwan. The station is planned to be the second in the world to integrate newly-developed technology that would enhance Egypt’s research capabilities.
Having recently completed and inaugurated another station in Katameya, with another in the works in Abu Simbel, the institute plans to launch a network of stations that would enable satellites to cover Egypt’s skies and accurately monitor all space-related activities.
