New Oil Discovery in Gulf of Suez is the Biggest in Over 20 Years

UAE-based oil company Dragon Oil has made its first-ever discovery in the Gulf of Suez. It’s making headlines as one of the gulf’s biggest discoveries in the past 20 years, containing around 100 million barrels of oil.
According to Egypt’s Minister of Petroleum Tarek El Molla, there are about 45 to 50 million barrels in the area, which can be extracted in less than a year.
