UAE Covers Expenses for Stranded Passengers

The UAE’s General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) has activated operational plans to manage flight disruptions caused by regional developments, ensuring that airport operations remain organised and passenger traffic is handled efficiently.

The authority confirmed that national carriers and airports are working together to reroute flights, accelerate rescheduling, and coordinate on the ground to prevent congestion. Around 20,200 affected passengers have received temporary accommodation, meals, and assistance with rebooking to minimise the impact of flight changes.

Passengers in transit have also been provided with temporary accommodation and support, while authorities continue to monitor flights closely to resume normal operations as soon as conditions allow.

The GCAA urged travellers to follow official updates and contact their airlines directly for information on their flights.
