UAE Intercepted 137 Missiles & 209 Drones Launched From Iran
Out of 209 drones, 195 were intercepted, and 14 landed within UAE territory and waters, causing minor material damage in some areas.
The UAE Ministry of Defence has confirmed that the country’s air force and air defence systems have successfully intercepted 137 ballistic missiles and 209 drones launched toward the UAE since the onset of attacks from Iran.
Of the 137 missiles detected, 132 were destroyed while five fell into the sea. Out of 209 drones, 195 were intercepted, and 14 landed within UAE territory and waters, causing minor material damage in some areas.
The Ministry said all actions were carried out in line with established procedures and emphasised that the UAE remains on high alert to address any potential threats. It strongly condemned the attacks, calling them a serious escalation that violates national sovereignty and international law, and reaffirmed the country’s right to respond to protect its territory, people, and national interests.
Residents were urged to rely on official sources for updates and to refrain from sharing rumours or unverified information.
