UAE Responds to Drone Strike at Al Salam Naval Base

The UAE Ministry of Defence confirmed that specialised teams have successfully responded to an attack on Al Salam Naval Base earlier today on Sunday, March 1st. The incident involved two Iranian drones targeting a warehouse, resulting in a fire that affected two containers of generally stored materials. No casualties were reported.

The Ministry strongly condemned the attack, describing it as a blatant act of aggression and a clear violation of national sovereignty and international law. Officials emphasised that the UAE reserves the full right to respond to such escalations and will take all necessary measures to protect its territory, citizens, residents and strategic interests.

“This incident underscores the importance of maintaining high vigilance and readiness,” the Ministry stated. “Our forces remain fully prepared to address any threats, ensuring the security and stability of the nation.”

Authorities have stressed that the safety of citizens, residents and visitors remains a top priority. The Ministry also urged the public to rely exclusively on official sources for information and to refrain from sharing unverified reports.

The attack comes amid heightened regional tensions, with the UAE continuing to monitor and respond to potential threats to its national security.
