Ahmed Ezz’s ‘Ferket El Moot’ Set for Eid Al-Fitr 2026 Release
The long-awaited period action film is back on track, with filming to resume after Eid Al-Adha.

Ahmed Ezz’s upcoming action drama ‘Ferket El Moot’ (‘Death Squad’) is now aiming for an Eid Al-Fitr 2026 release. After months of production delays, filming is expected to pick up again following Eid Al-Adha and wrap by the end of summer—well ahead of Ramadan season.
Set in Upper Egypt during the 1940s and 1950s, the film follows Officer Omar (played by Ezz) as he chases down a shadowy figure known as Khat El Saeed, played by Asser Yassin. The story blends historical drama with suspense, as Omar navigates the shifting social and political landscape of the time.
The cast also includes Menna Shalaby, Mahmoud Hemida, Bayoumi Fouad, Essam Omar, Khaled Kamal, Roshdy El Shamy, and Gehan El Shamashergy. ‘Ferket El Moot’ is written by Salah El Goheny and directed by Ahmed Alaa El Deeb.
