Cairopolitan Celebrates 'El Sett' With Special Edition Exhibition
The exhibition, running from January 22nd to the 24th, will feature exclusive behind-the-scenes photographs captured by the film’s screenwriter and renowned author Ahmed Mourad.
To celebrate the release of Umm Kulthum biopic ‘El Sett’, Cairopolitan is hosting a special edition exhibition for their sixth annual Cairo Prints series at Downtown Cairo’s Cinema Radio.
Running from January 22nd to the 24th, the exhibition will feature exclusive behind-the-scenes photographs captured by the film’s screenwriter and renowned author Ahmed Mourad and photographer Khaled Zohny, alongside a selection of work by over 80 artists.
Participating artists, both local and international, will exhibit work that explores Umm Kulthum’s legacy through their own creative perspectives. The exhibition explores the enduring impact of Umm Kulthum through the decades – what she represents, and the various ways she shaped generations.
