Dubai Culture Opens Applications for Public Art Education Programme

Dubai Culture and Arts Authority (Dubai Culture), in partnership with Art Dubai, has announced an open call for its Public Art Education Programme. The initiative, commencing on February 22nd, 2025, is designed to empower Emirati and UAE-based artists to develop their skills and contribute to Dubai’s Public Art Strategy.

The seven-month programme includes interactive seminars, workshops and mentorship with industry leaders, offering practical training in proposal creation, project management and legal frameworks for public art. Themed ‘Shaping the Future of Public Art in the UAE’, the curriculum supports artists in creating impactful works.

Complementing the Core Education Programme is the Community Education Programme, featuring monthly events open to students, creatives and art enthusiasts. These sessions explore public art commissioning, curating and community engagement, fostering dialogue around Dubai’s evolving artistic landscape.

Artists can apply via Dubai Culture’s website by February 10th, 2025. Selected participants will gain visibility and access to commissioning opportunities from both public and private stakeholders.
