Egyptian Visual Storyteller Mohamed Mahdy to Host Workshop in Riyadh

Renowned Egyptian visual storyteller Mohamed Mahdy will lead a workshop in Riyadh at Prince Faisal bin Fahd Arts Hall from December 5th to the 9th. This hands-on masterclass, delivered in collaboration with Gulf Photo Plus, will delve into the evolution of portrait photography in the digital era.
The workshop will focus on how modern technologies have reshaped the way portraits are captured, challenging stereotypes and emphasising authenticity in human expression. Participants will gain valuable skills in creating genuine, emotionally resonant portraits while learning essential techniques for using new photographic tools and equipment.
Mahdy, whose work has been exhibited internationally, will guide participants through practical exercises, camera settings, lighting techniques and ethical considerations related to representation. Emerging photographers, curators and filmmakers looking to enhance their skills in creating compelling visual stories are encouraged to apply.
