Everything You Need to Know About Egypt’s First Gamergy Festival

For the first time, global gaming and esports festival Gamergy is coming to Egypt, marking its debut in the Middle East. Since its inception in 2011, Gamergy has hosted over 20 events across countries including Spain, the US and Argentina. Thanks to a collaboration between eProjects, ievents and Influence Group, with support from IMKAN Misr, this milestone event will be held at the Cultural Hub in Alburouj, New Heliopolis, from January 30th to February 1st, 2025.

Spanning 18,000 square metres, Gamergy Egypt will feature five distinct zones catering to gaming enthusiasts and casual visitors alike. Zone 1 is the Gaming Arena, which offers visitors the chance to compete in a wide variety of games, including EA SPORTS FC 25, PUBG MOBILE, Fortnite, Just Dance, Brawlhalla and Rainbow Six Siege. Participants can try their hand at VR games, car simulators, and the first-ever F1 simulator provided by Red Bull. The arena operates on a first-come, first-served basis and welcomes visitors of all ages, with prizes awarded through a Leaderboard System.

Zone 2 will host Tournaments and Competitions, where both amateur and professional gamers can compete in over 18 tournaments spanning mobile, PC and console platforms, featuring some of the world’s most famous esports games like Valorant, Rocket League and League of Legends. Registration is on-site, with daily tournaments scheduled for the morning and afternoon. The top three winners in each tournament will share over EGP 2 million in prizes, making this a high-stakes arena for competitive players.

The Star Arena in Zone 3 serves as a high-tech theater broadcasting live matches and finals to audiences both locally and globally. Day 1 features a Fortnite competition among influencers donating part of their winnings to charity, followed by a Rocket League final. Day 2 highlights include matches between elite Counter-Strike 2 teams like NASR eSports and 9Z. On Day 3, League of Legends and EA SPORTS FC 25 championships take centre stage, with Egypt’s top players battling for glory in front of live audiences.

The Entertainment and Content Stage in Zone 4 brings together gaming culture, live performances, and interactive experiences. Attendees can enjoy panel discussions with industry leaders, cosplay competitions, and live shows from popular acts such as Mahmoud Mahdy, Peace Cake, and The Goats. This zone also provides an opportunity to meet influencers like Adham Gomaa and engage in conversations about gaming and digital media trends.

Finally, the Sponsors, Retail, and F&B Zone offers a variety of food and beverage options alongside meet-and-greet sessions with influencers and content creators. Visitors can shop for gaming merchandise, explore local products, and enjoy the convenience of a well-organized space designed for relaxation and networking.

The venue is accessible by taking the metro to New Heliopolis Station (which you can reach from Adly Mansour Station), where free shuttle buses will be available every 20 minutes to take you to and from the Cultural Hub. For those who are arriving by car, you will be able to enjoy free parking at the arena. Early bird tickets are available, with options for single-day access or a 3-day pass offering unlimited entry on the TicketsMarche website.
