New Saudi Romcom to Star Sarah Taibah & Yaqoub Alfarhan

Front Row Productions, Film Clinic, Rotana Studios, and Arabia Pictures Group are collaborating on the upcoming Saudi romcom, ‘A Matter of Life and Death’, starring Yaqoub Alfarhan and Sarah Taibah, who is also credited as the film's writer.

Directed by Anas Ba-Tahaf, the film explores the quirky connection between Hayat, a superstitious young woman convinced she’s cursed, and Yousef, a shy heart surgeon struggling with an unusual heart condition.

Principal photography will begin in Jeddah on January 18th, 2025. Front Row and Film Clinic previously worked together on the hit ‘Perfect Strangers’, Netflix’s first local-language original for the region. Arabia Pictures Group and Film Clinic also collaborated on the drama ‘Flight 404’, starring award-winning Mona Zaki and Mohamed Farrag.

Once produced, Front Row Filmed Entertainment will handle all MENA distribution rights and global sales for ‘A Matter of Life and Death’.
