Second Edition of the Kingdom Photography Awards Announced
Titled ‘We Tell Stories,’ this year’s edition of the Kingdom Photography Awards seeks to celebrate every facet of Saudi society.
The Saudi Visual Arts commission - a cornerstone of the Kingdom’s Ministry of Culture - has unveiled the details of the highly anticipated second edition of the Kingdom Photography Awards. Under the theme, ‘We Tell Stories,’ the sophomore edition of the awards calls photographers from across the Kingdom to submit a series of photographs encapsulating a day in the life of a Saudi citizen; or perhaps in other words, a visual portrayal of any and all facets of Saudi Arabian culture; from portraits of loved ones to places and landscapes held dear.
A celebration of Saudi storytellers, this year’s edition will see its winners walk away with a prize of SAR 20,000 alongside exclusive mentorship programs with globally renowned photographers. Registration for the Kingdom Photography Awards is open until the 31st of December, with winners being announced in February 2024 following evaluations by a judging panel encompassing industry professionals Ghada Al Muhanna, Hussain Al Moosawi, Mick Moore, Mohammed Al Faraj, and Tanvi Mishra.
The final exhibition is slated to take place from February through March 2024.
