“I am always asking myself, who am I? What is my identity?" shares Palestinian-American director Areeb Zuaiter in SceneNowSaudi’s Rolling Red Sea Series.
Zuaiter’s documentary Yalla Parkour, which follows a parkour artist sharing videos of his parkour among Gaza’s ruins after the 2014 war, is screening at the Red Sea Film Festival. Zuaiter shared how while searching online for images of Gaza from the U.S. to connect with unfolding events, she discovered her film’s subject, sparking a deeper exploration of identity, belonging, and the Palestinian diaspora experience in exile.
