Algerian Edtech LabLabee Secures $3.4 Million Seed Funding

LabLabee, an Algerian-based edtech startup, has successfully closed a $3.4 million seed funding round, signaling a significant boost for its mission to enhance education in cutting-edge technologies. The funding round was led by Reach Capital, with contributions from Classera, and support from existing investors Brighteye Ventures and e& capital, alongside notable business angels like Cedric Sellin and Mohammed Husamaddin.

Founded in 2021 by Samir Tahraoui and Mahfoud Sidi Ali Mebarek, LabLabee provides hands-on learning experiences, focusing on advanced network technologies, including 5G, AI, and cloud computing. This new investment will enable the startup to expand its reach into the US market, hire new talent, and develop innovative educational technologies.

With plans to solidify its leadership in the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) regions, LabLabee aims to partner with major cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform. The company is set to introduce new training labs for platforms like VMware, Red Hat, and Windriver.

To better serve its growing customer base and support its international expansion, LabLabee is looking to increase its workforce, focusing on hiring specialists in engineering, sales, and customer support. By collaborating with telecom operators, vendors, and educational institutions, LabLabee integrates practical exercises into training programs, addressing the significant skills gap in cloud-native technologies among telecom professionals.
