BasharSoft Acquires HR Consultancy iCareer in Egypt
BasharSoft plans to expand its workforce by 100 employees, grow revenue to $25 million, and pursue additional acquisitions in JobTech and HR services across the Middle East and Africa.

Egypt-based tech firm BasharSoft — known for its job-market platforms Wuzzuf and Forasna — has acquired HR-services provider iCareer in a move that creates the region’s largest integrated employment-services group.
Founded in 2009 by Mohamed El Garhy and Ameer Sherif, BasharSoft has connected millions of job seekers and employers through its platforms. iCareer, established in 2012, specialises in talent-development programmes for universities, governments and business employers across Egypt and the Gulf. The acquisition also includes iCareer’s Recruitera applicant-tracking SaaS, which will be integrated into Wuzzuf and Forasna to enhance recruitment workflows.
BasharSoft plans to expand its workforce by 100 employees, grow revenue to $25 million, and pursue additional acquisitions in JobTech and HR services across the Middle East and Africa — laying groundwork for a potential IPO within 2–3 years.
