Egyptian Agritech Startup ReNile Raises USD 450K in Pre-Series Funding

Egypt-based agri-tech startup ReNile has closed a funding round of USD 450,000 from undisclosed investors. Founded in 2017, ReNile focuses on end-to-end smart farming solutions using technology to boost agriculture productivity.

ReNile will also expand into Saudi Arabia, establishing a subsidiary to manufacture its systems, as well as a strategic partnership in Kuwait. The CEO also revealed that the company is targeting to win contracts worth EGP 40 million during the first quarter of 2025 and expects ReNile to become a billion-dollar company in five years.

This startup finally gained visibility after it was featured on Shark Tank. According to Al-Tawab, although ReNile secured USD 150,000 funding commitment before going on the show, it increased to USD 450,000 after its appearance, an indication of how the program drew in investors.
