Saudi Arabia to Host 100 Startups in Entrepreneurship World Cup Finals
Participants will compete for a prize pool of over $1.5 million, and span sectors including communications, health, and space.
Saudi Arabia has been selected to host the Entrepreneurship World Cup (EWC) 2025 finals, bringing together 100 startups from 46 countries. The event, scheduled for November 5th to the 8th and embedded within the Biban 2025 forum, is organised by the country's Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority in collaboration with the Global Entrepreneurship Network and the Misk Foundation. Participants will compete for a prize pool of over $1.5 million, and span sectors including communications, health, and space, with the strongest representation from Saudi Arabia, the US, and the UK. The competition drew over 10,300 applications from more than 169 countries, followed by multi-stage evaluation beginning in May. From there, 250 projects advanced to a virtual training camp in partnership with Spain’s Esade Ramon Llull University, where the top 100 were selected. Finalists are set to access training, mentorship, and networking designed to sharpen their competitive edge and connect with investors and venture capital funds during the Riyadh finals.
