UAE’s MBRIF Opens Applications for Latest Innovation Accelerator
Since launching in 2018, some of the programme’s notable alumni have include Rizek, Sarwa and Hawa Water.
The UAE Ministry of Finance’s Mohammed Bin Rashid Innovation Fund (MBRIF) has announced the launch of the next edition of its Innovation Accelerator, with applications now open.
Launched in 2018, the programme has recruited over 77 members from 17 countries, across a number of different sectors, ranging from healthtech and edtech, to transportation, renewable energy and even space.
The accelerator was launched as part of MBRIF’s efforts to enhance growth potential in the startups in line with the UAE National Innovation Strategy and the country’s maturing economy. It’s this standing that has made UAE one of the region’s most attractive markets to launch or scale a startup.
The programme will offer chosen applicants with non-financial support such mentorship and coaching opportunities with world-class facilities, with the goal of helping startups accelerate their business, elevate their capabilities and unlock value. The cohort will also gain access to networking opportunities, potential investors and market experts.
In terms of results, the proof is in the pudding with some of the programme’s top alumni including the likes of the first locally produced drinking water harvested from air, Hawa Water; cloud-based proptech, Ajar; fintech Sarwa; and on-demand services platform, Rizek.
Applications close on May 12th. For more information, head to www.mbrif.ae.
