13,040 New Urban Heritage Sites Registered Across Saudi Arabia
Citizens are encouraged to report heritage sites for documentation through the Ministry of Culture’s online service portal.
Saudi Arabia’s Heritage Commission recently registered 13,040 new urban heritage sites, bringing the total number of documented sites of cultural and historical importance in the kingdom to 17,495. These sites were registered across various regions including Madinah, Riyadh, Al-Baha, Hail and Qassim.
The National Urban Heritage Register, overseen by the Heritage Commission, plays a critical role in managing and documenting these sites. Through advanced technologies, research, and preservation practices, the commission continues to build an extensive database of historic locations in the kingdom.
