133 Stores Move to New Azbakeya Book Market
133 stores from Cairo’s Soor El Azbakeya have been relocated to Azbakeya Garden, with new kiosks provided as part of ongoing renovations announced in 2022.

A total of 133 stores from Azbakeya Book Market, known locally as Soor El Azbakeya, have been relocated to the market’s new site in the nearby Azbakeya Garden. The outlets have been moved into government-provided kiosks, similar to the recent upgrades at the used book market on Naby Daniel Street in Alexandria.
The renovations, first announced in June 2022, are nearing completion. The move marks a significant transformation for Soor El Azbakeya and could make future book-hunting trips a little more comfortable.
