The General Authority for Statistics in Saudi Arabia has announced that more than 420,000 personnel were involved in serving pilgrims during the 1446 AH (2025) Hajj season. The figure includes workers from government and private sectors, as well as security forces deployed across the holy sites.

According to the official statistical bulletin, a total of 1,673,230 pilgrims performed Hajj this year. Of these, 1,506,576 arrived from outside the Kingdom, while 166,654 were domestic pilgrims. The gender breakdown showed 877,841 male pilgrims and 795,389 female pilgrims.

The workforce serving the pilgrimage was composed of 92% men and 8% women. In addition to the official personnel, 34,540 volunteers participated in delivering various services, contributing more than two million working hours across Makkah and the holy sites.

The report also highlighted the continued implementation of the Makkah Route initiative, which facilitated the arrival of 314,337 international pilgrims. The program streamlines entry procedures at departure airports in participating countries, allowing pilgrims to bypass immigration checks upon arrival in Saudi Arabia.
