The number of people using Dubai's transportation system reflects the RTA's efforts to encourage sustainable public transportation, resulting in a daily ridership of 1.92 million. This includes a variety of transportation methods, including the metro, bus, tram, taxis, marine transport and shared mobility like smart car rentals, e-hail and bus-on-demand. Dubai Metro took the biggest portion of the public transport increase.
This amounts to a 13% increase in the use of public transport and shared mobility options compared to the ridership numbers in 2022, which amounted to 1.7 million riders daily and 621.4 million riders overall.
