95 Digital Social Insurance Services Set to Launch Across Egypt
The platform links government bodies to avoid duplicate paper submissions, with support for seniors and users unfamiliar with digital tools.
A nationwide digital rollout will see 95 social insurance services made available online through the National Organisation for Social Insurance, beginning with 40 services before expanding to a further 55.
The programme forms part of an ongoing shift away from paper-based procedures and is intended to reduce the time and effort required from citizens when accessing social insurance services.
According to cabinet spokesperson Mohamed Al Hommosany, the new system relies on comprehensive electronic linkage between relevant government entities, allowing required information to be accessed instantly by the social insurance authority.
This integration removes the need for citizens to submit repeated paper documents issued by multiple agencies, streamlining procedures across services.
The move to digital services will be implemented gradually. During the transition period, in-person assistance will remain available for users who encounter difficulties with online platforms.
Technical support is set to continue for older citizens and those unfamiliar with digital payments or electronic procedures, ensuring continued access while services shift online.
Platform development is being supported by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, with future plans including broader use of electronic signatures and the wider provision of government services in digital form.
