Ajman Government Staff to Work Remotely on Fridays During Ramadan 2026
The arrangement applies to the full public workforce across Ajman government entities.
All employees of Ajman government entities will work remotely on Fridays throughout Ramadan 2026, following directives issued by Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ajman.
The arrangement applies to the full public workforce across Ajman government entities and will remain in effect for the duration of the holy month. The Ajman Department of Human Resources has approved a 100% remote work system for Fridays during Ramadan, formalising the measure through an official circular.
Under the framework, working hours during Ramadan will run from Monday to Thursday, with government staff fulfilling their duties remotely on Fridays. The circular clarifies that Friday work obligations will be completed away from the office.
The policy aligns with the Year of Family 2026, with authorities stating that the measure supports family cohesion during the holy month while maintaining administrative efficiency.
Government entities will retain flexibility in implementing the system, provided that public-facing services and administrative functions continue without interruption. Each entity is expected to organise its internal work patterns within the parameters set out in the human resources circular to ensure seamless service delivery throughout Ramadan.
