Batches of Diabetes Medicine Sugarlo Plus Removed From Egyptian Market
Two batches of Sugarlo Plus were removed as they did not comply with the Egyptian Drug Authority’s medical standards.
The Egyptian Drug Authority (EDA) has issued a decision to withdraw two packages of Type 2 diabetes medication Sugarlo Plus from the Egyptian market. Both 50/500 mg FCT and 50/1000 mg FCT Sugarlo Plus packages will be removed.
This decision was made after an examination conducted by the EDA’s laboratories showed that batch CEC9 for Sugarlo Plus 50/1000 mg FCT and batch BYL5 for Sugalo Plus 50/500 mg FCT did not comply with their medical standards.
The EDA also advised citizens not to use these packages of Sugarlo Plus as diabetes medication. In case of any doubt about pharmaceutical operations, the EDA’s hotline is available to call on 15301. Their website also provides more information about the medication.
This warning is only applicable to the specific packages of Sugarlo Plus mentioned above, and does not apply to the circulation of this product in general.
