‘Bird’ Returns to Zawya Cinema Following Panorama Film Festival Succes

After its run during the Panorama of the European Film, Zaywa Cinema has announced another screening of Andrea Arnold’s award-winning coming-of-age drama, ’Bird’. 

First premiering at the 77th Cannes Film Festival, the film follows 12-year-old Bailey, who lives with her single dad and brother in a squat in northern Kent, England. As her father grows more absent and distant, Bailey seeks adventure beyond the confines of their cramped home. The film has received seven nominations at the 2024 British Independent Film Awards.

Starring Nykiya Adams, Barry Keoghan and Franz Rogowski, ‘Bird’ is set for a new year screening at Zawya on January 8th, 2025.
