CDA Launches 12 Ramadan Initiatives With Season of Wulfa
The Community Development Authority is rolling out family and youth initiatives aligned with Dubai Social Agenda 33 and the Year of Family.
The Community Development Authority in Dubai has launched more than 12 initiatives during Ramadan as part of the citywide ‘Season of Wulfa’ campaign, aimed at strengthening family cohesion and reinforcing community ties across the emirate.
The portfolio spans educational, social and charitable activities designed for different segments of society. Among them is ‘Al Qare’ Al Sagher’, implemented across community Majalis in cooperation with the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai. Running throughout Ramadan, the initiative focuses on strengthening children’s connection to the Holy Quran
For men, ‘Sawalif Al Mayalis’ sessions address parent–child relationships, family stability and the role of senior citizens within households. Women are engaged through ‘Hamael Al Khair’, which hosts community and religious sessions after Taraweeh prayers centred on generosity, moral responsibility and women’s contribution to family structures.
The authority is also participating in ‘Gift It Forward’, launched by Dubai Holding for the third consecutive year. More than 125,000 new items are set to be distributed this year through collaboration with over 55 partners across sectors.
In partnership with Dubai Charity Association, the authority is supporting the second edition of ‘Khair Dubai bi Ahlaha’, which spotlights Emirati home-based entrepreneurs preparing Iftar meals, linking charitable activity with local enterprise.
Additional programmes include ‘Iftar Dubai’, which brings together residents of different nationalities and backgrounds to encourage coexistence and mutual understanding. Community engagement will extend into Eid, with ‘Kanduret El Eid’ providing traditional attire for children in cooperation with Dar Al Hay, and ‘Fawalet El Eid’ distributing sweets and Arabic coffee at mosques and Eid prayer grounds.
