Cabinet Approves New Company for Space Technology & Services
The company will focus on the development and transfer of space science and technology.
The Egyptian Cabinet has approved the establishment of The Egyptian Company for Space Services under the Egyptian Space Agency.
The company will focus on the development and transfer of space science and technology, with key objectives including the manufacturing, localization, and advancement of satellites. Plans also aim to build national capabilities for launching satellites from Egyptian territory.
In addition to the new company, approval was granted for the Egyptian Space Agency to establish a technology zone within the compound. This initiative is expected to support advancements in space technology and enhance Egypt’s presence in the sector.
Separately, the Cabinet approved a request from Ismailia Governorate to contract with the Canal Electricity Distribution Company (North Ismailia Networks Sector). The contract will facilitate services for a 27,700 sqm area in the ready-made clothing zone in Sheikh Zayed district, contributing to the region’s infrastructure and development efforts.
